PRAYER & FASTING

We know that spiritual movements need to be undergirded by a commitment to prayer and fasting. The task is greater than our hands can accomplish, so we put our hands to the task and ask God to change hearts and halt this unnecessary suffering.

Scriptures to draw from.

“The strangers who sojourn with you shall be to you as the natives among you, and you shall love them as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt” [Leviticus 19:33-34]

"When strangers sojourn with you in your land, you shall not do them wrong. The strangers who sojourn with you shall be to you as the natives among you, and you shall love them as yourself; for you were strangers in the land of Egypt" [Leviticus 19:33-34]

"Justice, justice shall you pursue" [Deuteronomy 16:20]

“You shall neither mistreat a stranger nor oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.” [Exodus 22: 21]

“12 As the sun was setting, Abram fell into a deep sleep, and a thick and dreadful darkness came over him.
13 Then the LORD said to him,"Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own, and they will be enslaved and mistreated four hundred years.
14 But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will come out with great possessions.” [Genesis 15: 12-14]
